Susan Lane has been a doula for 22 years and has held certifications from DONA, Lamaze, and the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. She also maintains certifications from Postpartum Support International in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Spinning Babies, the Farm Midwifery School (Midwifery Assistant), and Commonsense Childbirth, Inc (doula and parent educator).
Susan has a Master’s Degree in Human Development from St. Mary’s University. Susan has been the citizen advocate for doula care, most recently doula care for Medicaid clients, and also for bills related to birth centers, midwifery, and incarcerated pregnant persons. She is mother and a grandmother, and enjoys gardening, sailing, reading, writing, biking, cross-country skiing, and camping.
Susan also serves on the Everyday Miracles Board.
