The Maternal Infant Center at the University of Washington Medical Center has a full spectrum of services for low- and high-risk pregnancies, from prenatal care to labor and delivery. The center provides birthing options to meet patient needs, including a variety of pain relief aids such as nitrous oxide. Private birthing suites with state-of-the art technology and care are spacious and equipped with amenities for comfort and convenience. Caesareans are also offered, and in the event it is needed, a level IV neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is nearby.
