The Birthplace at University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital is a designated Baby-Friendly Hospital capable of providing a safe and comfortable setting for uncomplicated to high-risk childbirths. They offer large comfortable rooms with microwaves, refrigerators and large-screen TVs, private bathrooms with soothing soaking tubs, floor-to-ceiling windows with beautiful skyline views. Offered are water births, midwives and doulas, labor slings, the latest options for pain relief, including nitrous oxide, and complimentary newborn portrait sessions. If needed, a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), is also available.
