MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital is Puyallup’s only hospital and serves as an acute care center for a large and diverse community across Puyallup and East Pierce County. The Family Birth Center at Good Samaritan provides private birthing suites for labor, delivery and recovery, equipped with sleeping couches, rockers, jetted tubs, refrigerators, plenty of room for visitors, and a view. Also available are wireless monitoring for laboring mobility, and an onsite level II NICU with 24/7 coverage from board-certified neonatology specialists. They support Vaginal Birth after Cesarean (VBAC), gentle C-sections, and offer an array of support for unmedicated laboring as well as nitrous oxide for pain management.
