Corvallis Birth and Women's Health Center offers women's health-oriented care and obstetric care for expecting mothers. The Corvallis Birth Center is staffed by nurse practitioners and midwives with years of experience in the field. Corvallis Birth Center is also accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC). Mothers meet with their chosen midwives for routine appointments before delivery. Prenatal labs and ultrasounds can be provided. Mothers can give birth in private suites at the birth center, with large tubs for labor hydrotherapy and water birth. Women can also move about the kitchen or the birth center grounds as they labor. After labor, mothers can stay for up to twelve hours for postpartum care. A TENS unit and nitrous oxide are available for pain management during labor. Mothers and families will be fed delicious, high-protein meals as they recover and spend time bonding with the baby. The midwives can also be enlisted for hospital or home birth support, and a lactation specialist is also available for consults. Prenatal educational classes are available to clients at a reduced cost.
